Family policies
Photos of your child
We ask your written permission before we share any photo of your child, on this site, in newsletters or on social media, and you can change your answer at any time. We never put a child's name with a photo, and the photos on this site are examples until we replace them with our own.
When to keep your child home
Please keep your child home with a fever, vomiting, diarrhea or a rash we don't recognize, and bring them back after a full day without symptoms. If your child gets sick here, we call you right away so someone can come.
Drop-off and pickup
A teacher hands each child to you at the room door. We release a child only to the people on your written list, and we ask for ID from anyone we don't know.
Late pickup
If you will be late, call the front desk. If pickup runs past closing time, Edwina talks with you in person, and the rule is in writing when you enroll.
Meals, snacks and allergies
Breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack come from our kitchen, and children serve themselves family style. Tell us about any allergy at the tour; once you enroll, we ask again in private.
Naps and safe sleep
Infants sleep on their backs, in their own cribs, with nothing else in the crib. Toddlers and older children rest on cots, when each one needs it.
What to wear and bring
Send a change of clothes, shoes that are good for running, and a hat and water bottle in warm weather. Please label everything with your child's initial.
Closures for weather and holidays
We close on the usual holidays, and we tell you the dates in writing when you enroll. If weather or anything else closes us, we text every family.
Leaving the program
We ask for two weeks' notice before your child leaves, in writing or in person.
Questions about a policy?
Ask at a tour, and Edwina will go through it with you.
