A day in every room
Each room keeps this rhythm at its own pace.
6:30 a.m. on
Arrival
Doors open. You sign in at the front desk, and a teacher meets your child at the room door.
Morning
Play and learning
Blocks, paint, books and pretend play, chosen for each age, at low tables sized for small people.
Midday
Snack and lunch
Children serve themselves family style and eat together. Tell us about allergies, and the room keeps the list.
Early afternoon
Rest
Infants sleep on their backs, in their own cribs, with nothing else in the crib. Older children rest on cots.
Afternoon
Outdoor time
The yard and the lawn, each room on its own turn, with hats and water close by.
Until 6 p.m.
Pickup
A teacher hands each child to you at the room door, with a note about the day.
